Our Story

We are a family of four consisting of Lise (Mom), Dennis (Dad), Oliver (our son) and Ellie (our daughter), and we might be considered a bit travel-addicted.

At current time (May 2023) our son is 6 years old and our daughter is 4 years old.

We have been traveling in one way another since kids and have been traveling together since 2006. Since 2017 we have traveled with our kids and our son had his first traveling experience at the age of 4 months. So we have experience traveling with babies, toddlers, preschooler and now also a school-aged kid as our son started first grade. 💖 

Our home is Denmark where we live, have jobs and our kids go to school and kinder garden. We travel as much as we can while still having a home life. How we travel always depends on destinations, time and price. Sometimes we choose a destination, but often the destinations choose us because we perhaps finds favorable plane tickets or accommodations etc. 

Our holidays takes all kinds of forms and can be road trips, backpacking, city-escapes or skiing. The form of travel doesn’t really matter to us, as it is all about being together, experiencing new places, cultures and making memories for life. We even decided to get married abroad.

So far our travels had lead us to many beautiful places around the world, 6 months traveling in Asia and the Oceania, Road-tripping all over Europe, flying to single destinations all over the world and we hope to continue exploring all the amazing sites around the world.

We haven’t been everywhere, but it is on our list!  

Our main focus will be on travel with kids, travel tips and budget friendly family travels.

Travel with kids is not always easy but it is soo worth it. Often you will find that all the worries wasn’t really necessary. Kids look to their parents and if we are comfortable and relaxed, they tend to be a lot more relaxed as well, and kids really don’t care about a schedule so take your time and enjoy!

We find that our kids has grown used to the traveling and actually finds all the hustle and bustle exciting. Even an unexpected layover doesn’t ruin their day or 6 hours of unexpected waiting at an airport. Kids are resilient and can handle a lot more than we often give them credit for.

Having kids is a reason to travel, not a reason to stop! 

We hope to show our kids the world. Whether it be far away or near doesn’t really matter. You never know where you will stumble upon some amazing places. Sometimes they might even be close by.
